PROGRAM SUMMARY
The 21st-century digital, mobile, and social media landscape has transformed how businesses market, promote and sell their products and services, and manage their client relations. The Social Media and Digital Marketing for Business program will facilitate the student’s ability to explore the social media and digital marketing, selling, and analytical practices that have evolved from the exponential growth of digital media communications. The students will gain a solid understanding of the traditional business skills, legal concepts, and project management abilities required for entry-level positions in business management or for operating one’s own independent business. This program will equip graduates with the essential knowledge and skills to plan, analyze and execute e-media marketing campaigns through the effective use of advanced digital tools and techniques as part of a business-based digital marketing and management strategy. This course will familiarize students with various social media platforms and tools and the incorporation of these tools by marketers and managers to promote and expand their businesses and connect with their customers.
PROGRAM OBJECTIVES
The aim of this program is to provide students with a combination of computer and office administration skills as well as a practical foundation in-office procedures, communications, and digital and social media marketing. The skills taught in this program will prepare the students to enter the employment market upon graduation with the necessary aptitude and hands-on experience to succeed in a business environment.

PREREQUISITES FOR ADMISSION
All applicants must pass a successful interview with an admissions representative in addition to fulfilling the following criteria:
Standard Admission
High school graduation or equivalent (from an English medium institution); or Successful completion of the General Equivalency Diploma (G.E.D.)
Mature Admission
Students must meet ALL of the following criteria:
- Be at least 18 years of age prior to admission (19 for out of province applicants)
- Present standard test results such as Accuplacer with a minimum score of 230 or Wonderlic with a minimum score of 20.
- Applicants from Manitoba must also have been out of school for one year in addition to the above.
